Assignment #7: Stop motion research

Part 1
link : stop motion video
This video is called "Lost things" and it will be my inspiration for my stop motion video.

Part 2:

Night life from Manal Bensafi on Vimeo.

For my video, I only used one person who had to act like she was sleeping. The objects that I used are a teddy bear, a chair, a bed, and makeup. The song that is playing is called "Hypnotize you"  by Nerd. The hardest thing for me was to take a picture of the whole scene so that we could see everything that was happening in the room, because I could not go back enough. So I have decided to use steps so that at least I could have a higher view of the scene. I have also changed 3 times the perspective of the camera just like it is done in the video that inspired me. The concept of the moving objects was also inspired by that video. The last problem that i encountered was when I was trying to put the pictures together and create the stop motion video. The video, at some moments, was becoming blurry when the pictures themselves were not. I tried to fix it but nothing was working. Finally, when I uploaded the video on Vimeo, I was surprised to see that the whole video had become clear.

Assignment#6: Panoramic Photography

Using the Adobe Photoshop Elements program, I have put all the pictures of the same scene together to create these 2
       pictures.
I had to use 12 pictures for the first panoramic image and 15 pictures for the second one.I found it easier to look at a scene horizontally than vertically that's why the 2 panoramic images that I submitted are present horizontal scenes.

Assignment #4 : Portraits

More portraits of my classmates

Assignment #3 : Motion

Stop Motion:

Blurred Motion:

To achieve stop motion and blurred motion in my images, I had to set my camera to a very high or low shutter speed. However, my camera did not have the shutter speed function so I could only change my ISO depending on the result that I wanted. For the stop motion pictures, my ISO had to be as high as possible, and in my camera the highest is 3200. To get the blurred motion images, my ISO had to be at its lowest, which is in 100. It was hard for me to get blurred pictures at the beginning because the model had to move or move a part of the body relatively fast to achieve the effect.

Assignment #2: The Cyanotype

First of all, I chose the objects that I wanted to use for my cyanotype.  I chose hair clips, a necklace, buttons, a few key rings, and earrings.
The picture above is a sketch I did before doing the final cyanotype.

Then, at school and with the teacher, we went outside and placed the objects that we had chosen for the cyanotype project on a blank paper. That wa, we knew exactly where we would put it on the real cyanotype paper.

Once the teacher gave us the special paper that was in a black envelope, we went back outside, I took the special paper out of the envelope and placed as fast as I could the objects on it.
I left my cyanotype under the sun for exactly 17 minutes.
After that, I rapidly took the objects off of the paper and I put the paper back in the envelope.
I then had to wash my cyanotype with water and let it dry.
The picture above is the final result of my cyanotype.
